Lone Star competed against TVCS, Vallivue and Kuna in the 3rd meet of the season.  Both the boys and girls teams finished 3rd at the meet.  Numerous kids broke school records.  Aubri Barela in the high jump, Jessamyn Miller in the 100 hurdles, Cassandra Vasquez in the 1600, Kira Chavez/Kylee Ghighina in the 200 and the boys Sprint Medley team which includes Adrian Ortiz, Jacob Butler, Dylan Gish and Kaden Melad. Many other athletes broke personal records too. Nice job Lone Star athletes, Coach Rigsby, Craig, Dunn, Young and Wilson.

Our home track meet ended early because of rain.  Jacob Butler broke the school record in the triple jump with a jump of 38' 9".  

On Wednesday April 5th, the Longhorns traveled to Middleton to compete in the first track meet of the season versus Middleton and Syringa.  With over 140 athletes, Lone Star was destined for success.  Both the Girls and Boys teams took 2nd place in points at the meet to start the season.  On the girls side, the following athletes placed top 5:  Vasquez x 2 events, Chavez, 4x100 relay team, Sprint Medley Relay team, Hunter, 4x400 relay team, Barea x 2 events, Guerrero x 2 events , Ramirez x 2 events, Valdez, Crampet x 2 events, Ghighina, Myers, Uri and Kaplan.  Nice job ladies.  On the boys side, the following events and relay teams placed top 5:  4x100 relay team, Lucido x 3 events, Butler x 2, Sittig x 2 events,    4x200 relay team, Omundson, Wright, Hahn, 4x400 relay team, Reese, Hayes, Robinson, Kowallis x 2 events, Melad and Hernandez.  Nice job to all of the athletes.  Good luck in your preparation for the Lone Star Meet on Thursday April 13th, Coach Rigsby, Young, Dunn, Wilson and Craig.
