Lone Star is hosting its annual Football Skills Camp the week of May 8 -12 from 3 - 4:30. All Lone Star students are invited to attend. The cost is $25 dollars for the camp and all campers who sign up and turn in their registration form by May 1 will receive a camp t-shirt. We played a tough game with Kuna.  They came out victorious, but we were able to make some adjustments at half time that really helped our defense.  The second half score was 0-0 until the last 20 seconds when we tried a QB throwback that was intercepted and ran back for a TD when the Kuna defender made a great read and play on the ball.

It was a tough battle at the soggy Bulldog Bowl, but we were able to grind out our first victory of the season with a 2-pt win during the third overtime.  Our team has improved greatly since the beginning of the season and should continue to progress.  We had a few mental errors with false starts, but other than that it was a fairly clean game on our end.  West is always a tough rivalry.  It was great to come home with a W this year!

We were pleased with the improvements we saw in our team this week.  This was a much better game for us!  We missed a couple key opportunities that could have really helped us win this game, but in the end we fell just a little short.  The coaching staff looks forward to our continued growth and is excited to meet West in the Bulldog Bowl next Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

We had a tough first game.  We were not able to overcome our mental errors and South controlled the game.  Hopefully with another week of practice we will be able to remember when we are supposed to be on the field and where we are supposed to go when we are out there. One thing about it, we can only go up from here.  Our coaching staff his high hopes for this group of players.  At practice the boys have the right mentality and show us great drive to get better.  We are hoping for a much better showing next week as we travel to Bishop Kelley to take on TVCS.

This was a good start to the season.  There were a few players that really showed us they deserve to be on the field.  We still have a lot to work on, but hopefully we can get things ironed out before we face South in our season opener.
